Full Members
Membership is open to all representative national or international associations of anodizers that have entered into a general licence agreement with QUALANOD.

Founding Members
The European Association for Surface Treatment on Aluminium (ESTAL), Zurich, and the European Aluminium, Brussels, are founding members of QUALANOD.

Associate Members
Companies and industry associations that fall into one of the following categories may be accepted as Associate Members by the QUALANOD General Assembly. Associate Members have the right to be informed of the Association’s activities except financing and the right to express an opinion via the Secretariat.

  • Licensees (“Direct Licensees”) located in a country or region without a General Licence Holder
  • Customers of anodizers
  • Suppliers to anodizers
  • Aluminium national associations
  • Other legitimate stakeholders

General licence holder Organisation that may grant QUALANOD sub-licences to anodizing plants. Such organisations include national associations and QUALANOD.

Sub-licence holder (licensee) Anodizing plant authorized to use the quality label.

Testing institute Organisation that is accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 and approved by QUALANOD to be responsible for inspecting the anodizing plants of licensees. Inspectors are nominated by testing institutes. The testing institutes come together as QUALISURFAL to share experiences and organise inter-laboratory round-robin testing.
